Cruci-Fixins

It turns out that the leak about Britney Spears' guest appearance on Will and Grace was untrue. Spears was supposedly going to play the host of her own food show called 'Cruci-Fixins.' My NBC email account has been inundated with complaints from the various Christian coalitions over the issue, but NBC issued a news release saying the storyline is not accurate.

This is the second such email blast from the Christian folks in the past couple of months, the first in regards to a since-canceled NBC show called the Book of Daniel. The funny thing is, after the complaints came in, I ended up watching the Book of Daniel because I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I guess that's what I don't understand when groups make a big deal out of these issues -- don't you call more attention to it than it ever would have received in the first place?
