Sexual Healing
If I've learned one thing about running a Web site, it's that a good headline will draw readers in. After all, you are reading this right now, aren't you? Well get your mind out of the gutter.

Interesting piece of news in the entertainment world today. Jesse Martin, of Law and Order has been tapped to play Marvin Gaye in a planned movie that will focus on the latter years of his life. It's called "Sexual Healing," and it chronicles Gaye's self-imposed exile in Europe after years of battling drugs, domestic issues and label headaches with Motown. It's supposed to begin production this summer, but no word on an expected release date. I could never figure out why my mother used to get upset when I walked around the house singing that song as a kid...
So what other dead musicians haven't received the proper movie treatment? I'm waiting on Jimi Hendrix (Terrence Howard) and Miles Davis (Don Cheadle).

THoward and Don Cheadle are nice selections, but what about Malcolm Jamaal Warner? Seriously, tho, I love Cheadle, but Mos Def is strong as well. Just watched Something The Lord Made for the third time the other night. Outstanding flick.
Mos Def crossed my mind as well, but can he sing? He doesn't really look like Gaye, and Cheadle could be a dead ringer for Miles. Mos Def could do say... Otis Redding? Or even better, Sam Cooke..
